What is the Benefits Breakfast Club?
The Benefits Breakfast Club (BBC) has been providing educational events for private health care stakeholders for over 20 years, with our beginnings in Hamilton, Ontario. We carefully select two to three presenters for each of our 7 meetings in Ontario and 4 meetings in Atlantic Canada. Each are encouraged to present for 20-25 minutes so that there is plenty of time for dialogue our presenters and attendees on the important issues these sessions address at each meeting.
Everyone is welcome. Attendees are usually from those working in the private health care sector, including human resource and benefit professionals, insurer executives and benefits consultants and advisors. We also welcome those in the pharmacy benefits management sector, pharmacy, pharmaceutical and patient access services. Between 30 and 70 people attend each event in Southern Ontario and 20-40 in Atlantic Canada.
Keeping pace with our industry. We are very proud that the BBC was the first group to understand the value to all stakeholders of creating a forum to network and dialogue about important issues that face plan sponsors, insurers, advisors and manufacturers. We work to meet the changing demands or our industry with feedback from attendees, our advisory boards, and our sponsors.
We are growing. In 2011 we began a cross country series of Benefits Breakfast Club sessions. In addition to our regular meetings in Southern Ontario (Burlington, Mississauga and Kitchener), we also deliver sessions in Moncton, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
It takes a team. The success of the BBC is dependent on our attendees, sponsors, and advisory boards. Without their time, input and financial support the BBC would not be the successful forum it is today.
